The international flashmob routine was huge fun last year. This year's format is designed so that all levels of dancers can learn it!
 
8/2, 8/9 Beginners learn the basics!
 
8/16, 8/23, 8/30: Learn the International West Coast Swing Flashmob routine. Beginners can continue, while experienced dancers jump right in for these. Everyone learns cool moves to use socially, and a fun choreography. Experience in west coast, or the 2 weeks of beginner classes is required. Participation in a flashmob is not required!
 
2 week beginner classes - $20.
Last 3 weeks - $30.  All 5 weeks - $45.

Swinging DJs, Katie Tranzillo, from Camden, and Jan Marie from Boston, will inspire your lindy hop, east coast swing, west coast swing, and do-your-own-thing. You do not want to miss Jan Marie’s swingin’ blues!

 

Jan Marie began DJing in Connecticut in 2008, concurrent with the start of her dance teaching. Her time spent in Philadelphia in 2010 studying under the DJ Experiment (DJX) collective opened her eyes to the range of rhythmic and melodic elements that could inspire movement. Now Jan Marie strives to strike a balance between the familiar music that naturally draws people to the dance floor, and priming them for new melodies they’re sure to love.

She sings, she dances, she teaches, and she has her own band, Jan Marie and her Mean Reds!
