East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing
East coast swing (aka Jitterbug) is a subset of Lindy Hop, the grandfather of swing! These fun, playful dances are versatile, popular and danced to classic and contemporary swing and jazz music.
West coast is not the same as east coast! This smooth, contemporary style of swing can be danced to blues, R&B, funk, soul, contemporary and jazz music.

Have fun dancing and learning authentic jazz moves of the swing era. While you learn cool moves such as the sailor step, boogie walks, fish tails, and mess-a-round, you will connect with your own body movement, increase balance and flexibility, feel rhythm in your whole body, practice weight transfer and turning, breathe, use your arms, and increase your self-expression.
This is a non-partnered class: take advantage of this opportunity to focus on your own movement.
You will bring greater variety, musicality, and authenticity to any dance that you do.
